Biography

A member of the Federal Government`s Senior Executive Service and is currently serving as Chief of the Technology and Programs Division of the National Communications System. In that role he is responsible for technology development. Dr. Fonash has served in a broad range of information technology positions in the Federal government since 1981. Before entering government service, he was an electronics engineer for AT&T Long Lines, a Deputy Group Leader for the Planning Research Corporation, and a Senior Financial and Systems Analyst for the Burroughs Corporation. Dr. Fonash holds a BS and an M.S. degree from the University of Pennsylvania in electrical engineering, an MBA from the Wharton Business School, and a PhD in Information Technology and Engineering from George Mason University.
